I meant that they are leftists who are not anarchists. Obviously they’re not liberals.

Googling him (Matthew Heimbach) is a valuable, if depressing, pursuit. He has a solid background in being garbage and is quite the rising star.

Sad thing is these nazi clowns like being attacked. It gives them fuel for their “WHITE IDENTITY IS UNDER ATTACK” youtube videos. If they just did one of these actions and no one showed up they’d be wildly disappointed.

Hmmm...white power sounds like a terrorist thug group to me.

Congrats. You have achieved peak liberal.

Actually, the counter-protesters were not, for the most part, anarchists. It’s unfortunate that the press uncritically parrots this. It seems calculated to make them seem weird or violent or fringy. They did a noble thing.

Exactly. For, uh, certain points of view it’s win-win, especially since one of the featured speakers at the rally was invited because he punched someone at a Trump rally.

Of course, she can call it ‘anarchy’ because she says it’s all based on group decisions. It’s just that everyone always agrees and she just happens to be the boss. And those that don’t agree with her are booted. You see? Anarchy!

“Boss” “Anarchist”. One of these things is not like the other.

That is incredible! Emma and Angela Davis are my heroes!

@lakedesire: I am one of her admirers as well. When I named my daughter Emma everyone thought I was giving her the most popular girl's name, but I love telling people she's named after an exiled-anarchist-feminist who practiced free love. When I was 17, I made my grandfather take me to visit the anarchist's graves in

I wish I would've gotten to see it. I know who Emma Goldman is simply because I have this weird obsession with Leon Czolgosz, who really admired her and approached her repeatedly in hopes of becoming involved with her circle of anarchist friends. I read about her and always thought she sounded awesome.

Aww, I'm sad I missed it. I'm reading a book called The Lazarus Project right now, in which Emma Goldman is an offstage character throughout, which is really really amazing. I recommend it for a more tangential view of anarchism at the time.

After spending the first two weeks of my life calling me "the baby", my mother was suddenly struck with inspiration and named me after Emma Goldman. I love my name. If things go in my camp's favour, some of the settlement from my mother's wrongful death lawsuit will be going to the Emma Goldman Clinic's endowment fund.

Read "The Graphic Biography of Emma Goldman." It's a graphic novel about her and it's amazing.

I also recommend Howard Zinn's incredible play about her life: [www.amazon.com]

Emma Goldman is one of my heroes. As an anarchist and a feminist, I don't get too many historic figures whose politics I don't have to apologize for in some area or another. I'm happy to see more feminists discovering Emma. Too many people in my women studies graduate classes haven't heard of her!

Surprised?

This degree of opulence and monetary waste can't help but invoke outcry. I agree with the sentiment.
