Of course the wider issue that this behavior was allowed in the countries he traveled to. Children were sold for sex and everyone knew and didn’t care in those countries. There is no excuse you can make for his behavior or that countries exist where it is possible.

This isn’t “French culture”.

It’s simple: If you have to travel to a foreign country with completely different morals than your own or that of your home country, to “legally” have sex with children or teenagers? YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING IS WRONG.
