I never really understood how it was controversial to believe Tony died. The entire final season is suffused with death in both plot and imagery. There are multiple scenes (most prominently, Bobby saying “you probably don’t even hear it when it happens” and the one where a guy gets whacked right next to Silvio and

No more than Clinton actually was kinda goofy with that “Aw shucks, what’s a good ol boy like me doin’ in this big ol white house?”

I guess we all see these people in different ways, but these actors don’t capture much of anything that rings true for me from that time.

Disagree, I see nothing ‘’goofy’’ in Owen’s portrayal. He is good with Clinton’s voice and mannerisms, the way he holds himself, his charisma and wandering eye, and his nervousness etcetera.

It’s also for context—the GOP is going crazy trying to nail Clinton for a BJ—the FBI is literally dancing when Linda get Monica to implicate herself while wearing the wire a few episodes ago. Meanwhile an existential threat—actual danger, something real to worry aboutlurks on the horizon.

Appearances aside, I would say Beanie and Clive are doing good jobs with the mannerisms and voice work.

The casting on this show is a head scratcher. Is Edie Falco a great actress? Sure. Does she give me any sort of HRC vibe? No way. Same with Bill. Same with Monica. They don’t look like them and they don’t feel like them. It's a huge distraction. I was waiting for the part where Tony shoves Hillary up against the wall

Why did the episode include details on the East Africa Embassy bombing and response?

They’re saving that  for American Crime Story: Insurrection in a  few years .

My immediate thought re- the MET Gala was that she was there to cultivate some support from rich liberals looking to boost their progressive bona fides by donating to a wildly popular grassroots progressivist candidate.

I guess I’m atypical because as of now, I’d much rather vote for Schumer than AOC. At least when he casts a despicable vote, he doesn’t take the coward’s way out and vote “present”, nor does he try to get sympathy for voting to use Palestinians as clay pigeons by blubbering for the cameras.

Between that and the Met gala, yes!

A purity test she built for herself. A purity test she weaponizes against everyone else.

I wonder if the Met Gala attendance was also part of this. I don’t really get it though because those who detest her were never going to suddenly change their minds because of two slightly more tepid “centrist” actions while those who massively cheerleaded her as a progressive icon won’t abandon her for Schumer but

Reporters in the room on Thursday described her colleagues gathering around to comfort her as she wiped tears from her face.

The dress is a red herring. The hypocrisy is in spending the night playing grab-ass with millionaire celebs, thinking a photo-op dress exempts her from criticism.

I’ve never seen an article so at odds with its own headline.

You have no clue what the circumstances surrounding this are. Munn has a history of targeting celebrity men just after leaving a relationshipnor getting divorced, and Mulaney broke his sobriety pretty bad in 2020. It's important to talk about these things, since manipulative people like Munn exist, and addiction can

Jason Sudeikis had a similiar response to Mulaney’s ex and the commentariat in Jezebel was more on Sudeikis to move on it although that was pre Ted Lasso becoming a big darling hit so who knows if it would be the same now.

It’s very “I’m shocked, shocked, to find that [gossip-mongering] is going on in here!”
