Thank you. It’s been so grim and “Vermont Jesus” gave me a chuckle.

And Joan’s writing is also very supportive of conservative social norms.
Just because she may not be advocating to vote for your personal choices it doesn’t mean voting for what you think is best isn’t a good idea.
Also, Reese Witherspoon is actually a pretty strong advocate and ally, especially for a celebrity. She has done a lot of work to bring awareness to issues in our country and frequently features black women authors in her book club. Its weird to go after her.
Definitely not a good look for Jezebel...
How is it not? Like all Joan took away from Reese’s posts was that Reese thinks voting is a very important thing. The level of snark by Joan is clearly mocking that idea.
Starting to think Jezebel’s political stance is“don’t vote, just boo”.
It’s like they want Trump to be re-elected so they can say I told you so.
It’s because Bernie is no longer the candidate. Now that Vermont Jesus isn’t an option, not voting is the only option for the writers here.
Because this writer is still pissed she won’t get a chance to vote for Bernie. The anti-voting, anti-Biden articles are everywhere here lately.
Bizarre to me why they’re shitting on her advocating for voting. Also, did they completely disregard her first tweet?
Yep, it’s the second day in a row I was like wtf is going on here, what’s up with these articles?!
Yes voting. For President but also for commissioners and judges and sheriffs and magistrates.
Yeah but voting requires standing affirmatively for something instead of vaguely against everything.
Is this the second day in a row where this column has bashed voting?
Is Reese Witherspoon’s comment bad? Seems like a good starter list to me
Yes, the chain was started in Atlanta by Truett Cathey in the late 70's I believe. They were always located in malls and didn’t have standalone stores until the 2000s?? I don’t know. They were big on the “Christian” message, and back in high school I was just glad to be off every Sunday! Plus, we got to eat whatever…
I used to work at Chic Fil-A in the mall from 83-85. We were the “cool fast food chicks” not like those losers over at Orange Julius or Morrow’s Nut House. Just kidding. But the guys at Baskin Robbins were the hotties.
As an 80s child I was raised in malls. Now I order stuff from Amazon like it's a digital Sears catalog. How the mighty have fallen.
