Anecdotal evidence doesn’t hold up against factual evidence. Those numbers don’t lie. It isn’t us versus them. They see it that way already. It’s us not pandering to them by feeding into white resentment and racism.

It fits reality. Just look at demographics. The largest majority of people who voted for him were white voters without a college degree living in rural America. You can argue with a lot of things but not with the numbers.

Non college degree whites historically are heavily Republican. You mistake writing them off versus not pandering at the risk of alienating your own solid base. 

That’s exactly what I’m saying. Working class is usually people who work at manual labor jobs for wages and not people working at white collar, salaried jobs earning over $45-50k. Young white voters and suburbanites usually tend to be college educated white working at salaries jobs.

That extra 10% usually has come from young White voters and some suburbanites, usually white women who come over.

There’s a difference between alienating versus outright pandering to while ignoring your base. Young whites and suburbanites are the cherry on the sundae. Whites over the age of the 30 and working class voters have been solidly Republican for the last 30 years.
