Didn’t Jalopnik recently argue that police should no longer perform traffic stops?

This is why I said governors should have exempted churches from large gathering restrictions.  Just avoid the martyr complex bullshit and skip straight to the martyrdom.  Let’s see how many of them really believe in the magic they claim makes them superior.

While we all anticipated that Sturgis was going to be a COVID shit show, the figure of $46,000 average cost for a single COVID case doesn’t seem very credible.

Couldn’t this also be an indictment on the stupid cost of medicine in the US?  I mean the people that went to Sturgis deserve every bit of illness and vitriol they have coming, but $46,000 per case?  The whole thing is stupid, from beginning to end.

Don’t want to get hit?

I wonder what the average person would do if they found themselves in a car surrounded by angry protestors punching their windshield and threatening them. Get out and surrender to the crowd? Sit there and wait until they flip your car over? Try to move the car forward through the crowd slowly? Or slam the gas?

We have a local drive-in theater that does first-run movies, a full snack bar/restaurant, and a setup just like the one you’re complaining about. It’s the best deal in town. For 30 bucks we get the family in with all the food and drink we can handle, see two or three movies at the volume we want to hear it at, we have

...the mouth breather shoveling a movie theater hot dog into their maw.

And as a young healthy person you are still very unlikely to die from it.

I can’t see them ever coming up with a permanent solution for this even with a redesign. Wheel tethers (and body panel tethers) work great most of the time and the fact is, racing is always going to present a level of risk. It’s impossible to account for everything.

Are you new here or something?   This is like bread and butter to most of us.

“HERE WE GO!”

The wheelchair in the bed has me wondering if the Toyota is modified for accessibility.  It wouldn’t excuse anything, but it adds potential answers to “what went wrong?”

No American.  You must buy SUV.

Most taxi drivers are contractors and yet somehow Jalopnik never had issue with that either.

Today, California ruled that Uber and Lyft must stop pretending that their drivers are independent contractors and start treating them for what they are: employees.

There has to be a higher barrier to entry to getting a gun than filling out a 4473 and being on your way. Even something as simple as an online course and test of basic “dos and don’ts” might go a long way in limiting some of this egregious behavior.

If you’ve ever driven on “slickrock” you’d realise this is not impressive at all. He essentially climbed a steep and slightly bumpy driveway with a surface that has way more traction than asphalt.
