Even in NC I see confederate flags all the time. I remember confronting some of my white classmates in my 9th grade history class about being racist and wearing the flags. Is D.C. really considered up north? I mean it is below the Mason Dixon line. Had this argument all the time in college.

I think one of the reasons some of White America hates black women is because over the years we have been made to be the face of welfare. So they think that all black women are baby making factories, who don’t care about their health, and don’t work.

To me black people do not care about violence against black women. I just think about the arguments I’ve had about Bill Cosby, Ray Rice, Chris Brown and R. Kelly. Black men and women have defended these men. It seems more people defend their actions that are against them.

One of my friends made a good point though on facebook earlier. What are the missions of counterprotest? Most of the time they will result in violence. I agree with Tina Fey’s recommendation to support a minority owned business. This should encourage all of us to support them more.

I went to my ten year last year we had a facebook group with a hundred + people. When the reunion came it was about thirty. Most people still live in the small town where dreams go to die so not sure why they didn’t make it. I guess they thought they would be further in life but honey I could have told you ten years…

Now I do a good job of not falling for the Lawerence types. I haven’t really been a Issa or Tasha in years either. All this good filtering and still single go me.
