So much good stuff. “Two men enter. One man leaves.” “Who run Barter Town?” “What you hears today, you gotta tell the birthed tomorra.”
But, how did the rest of your date with the Black Keys go?
Jennifer Connolly, wife of Paul Bettany, told a story on Seth Meyer’s show that their kids troll Bettany by changing his Disney+ account’s avatar to Vision and giving the account the name “The Worst Avenger.” Pretty funny burn. I’m not saying Vision is the worst Avenger, but I’ll put this out there: “Who is?”
I too thought this was a late third (?) entry in the Night Watch series from Russia, none of which I ever watched. Turns out it’s a late sequel to a Danish movie I never saw, which was remade into an American movie that I saw some bits of on cable decades ago. Glad we figured that out!
Call me when they remake this with Ewan McGregor. Ha! I kid.
Got it. Make that $51,999,984.
What I can’t figure out is, why isn’t it a hit? Good reviews. Good audience scores. Saw it with the family and it was very entertaining and all enjoyed. It was like being transported back to those summer hits of the 90s with some wit, some romance and some big action set pieces. It wasn’t perfect. But, it was fun. I…
As much as I would love there to be some lore to the Mad Max movies, I don’t think there’s much in the way of continuity from film to film. Maybe you could say the Gyro Captain had left the land “Beyond Thunderdome” with his child?
I love me some Thunderdome. It’s just so weird at times--which I find super fun. It has to be the most quotable of the Mad Max movies.
It’s in the subhead: “
Lord knows.
This news is so good that it’s not just 🤘. It’s 🤘🤘.
No No No. You guys have it all wrong. Leonardo DiCaprio is playing two roles, Frank Sinatra and Garfield the Cat, in a movie about Jesus.
I started watching the first hour last night and have enjoyed the heck out of it so far. It’s made me laugh a few times. Hopefully, the end doesn’t shit itself like an elephant being transported up a mountain.
Right!? I thought they had a scoop as I hadn’t seen anyone else state what the film was about. But, now I’m not so sure.
I listen to that podcast (it’s good). In context, the interviewer asked him about Babylon and how it didn’t do well and what does that mean for making another film. Chazelle answered that he didn’t know yet but he’d find out soon when he went to make another. I don’t if either of them talked about “movie jail.” But,…
How about the whole vagueness of “Save the cheerleader. Save the world?” Sounds cool. But, if you’re coming back from the future with a message, how about a little more context or specificity? It sure seemed like Hiro had enough time to say more.
I read it that way, too! I was like, “Holy shit, what did Tom Holland do to abuse her!” They got me.
Yes. And, I’ve clicked through the link to Instagram and can’t find it in either of Cohen or Fisher’s accounts.
