I always thought this movie bore a very strong resemblance to Alan Dean Foster’s Midworld, which is an obscure but amazing, thrill ride of a book and I recommend everyone read. It came out in 1975, so I guess that’s 4 years after Cameron had a dream about Avatar.

Good points. I’ll add on to it by pointing out that Ticketmaster should have known how many people were going to try to get tickets yesterday. It was a Verified Fans only pre-sale. So, you had to win a lottery just to be verified (I wasn’t, but my daughter was). So, it’s an enormous screw up on Ticketmaster’s part to

This sounds very much like the earnings call episode of American Auto. Zaslav is just riffing while people are running around behind the scenes.

(Yes, Stargirl takes place on a parallel earth, but several characters from the show appeared in the Crisis crossover, so we’re counting the series as part of the ‘Verse.)

Don’t forget Midsommar. Awesome in that as well.

Renegade (feat. Taylor Swift) [but really starring Taylor Swift] off Big Red Machine’s How Long Do You Think It’s Gonna Last? album is a brilliant song in both musicality and theme. Listen to it.

There were a lot of problems with those terrible, annoying ads I was forced to watch for an experience I had already purchased and therefore didn’t need to be sold. But, I found it particularly vexing that Nicole Kidman (or is it Keidbaum?) was extolling the virtues of seeing movies together and yet was the only one

This definitely helps the assertion I made over the summer (and that most friends & family didn’t understand): Thor: Love & Thunder was inspired by Terry Gilliam films, such as Time Bandits.

I heard that Disney released Prey on Hulu because there was a pre-purchase deal that any movie released in theaters by Fox would stream on HBOMax. Disney didn’t want their streaming competitor to get access to Prey, so they released the Predator prequel, a movie meant to show in theaters, on Hulu so that HBOMax

I agree with @AKA. I’m in the theater already so shut up and play the movie. It gets me so frustrated.

I LOVE Beyond Thunderdome. It is batshit crazy and amazing in every way. I also find it to be the most quotable Mad Max movie. Maybe this is just the fact that it played endlessly on cable at just the right age for me. But, I demand anyone that says otherwise face my champion, Blaster, in the Dome.

It’s ok. You don’t have to like the first movie. It has many iconic moments but it’s not a good movie.

As someone who has seen the movie, I would say that’s a twisted take on the movie. That’s not really what it is at all. Honestly, I interpreted it more as a movie about a man looking back at his life and analyzing what he’s done and where it’s gotten him. I actually found the dramatic interpersonal scenes as engaging

Grand Theft Obi

But, if they can drive a car, why does it matter if Christopher Robbin left them. Just go grocery shopping. Perhaps at the Piggly Wiggly.

A lot of people are focusing on Chris Evans’ mustache... But, let’s not overlook that haircut. Now, that’s commitment to a role!

Ugh. It was easier before when we didn’t have to remember which one was which.

Agreed. I did not like Foggy on the show.

I have no issues with Miles Teller. But, based on the coming attraction, it looks like he somehow inherited his dad’s mustache. Did Goose leave it to him in his will?

The movie as a whole is quite pretty to look at.
