It depends on your tastes, of course. The first season I found to be slow with a lot of distractions. I'd almost recommend skipping the first half of the first season at least. Season 2 picks up and season 3 is freaking amazing. Season 4 has not disappointed and I had high expectations. I think it's the closest thing

Urgh, it is Chekhov's lawsuit. I almost wish you hadn't pointed that out. Poor Kim.

Hmm, good point. If memory serves (mine usually doesn't though), Hilltop would send a small group of people to treat with Negan's people. So yes, that group saw Negan kill a teenager, I think. Jesus wasn't part of the group; I think he told Rick he had never met Negan.

Jesus has never met Negan. I don't think anyone at Hilltop actually has met the real Negan.

I thought Going Postal was a good adaptation but it's the only one I've ever liked. Like El Marinero says, the TV casting is so off in the others. Although Charles Dance is the perfect Vetinari.

I liked his storyline in AFFC. I miss the Tullys.

Alex, I'm so glad your reviews are back!

I started watching this because the commercials made it look Westlake-like. This first episode moved too slow, though. Hopefully the table setting is done.

I don't know what 19th century medieval time could be. Yes, his world has moved on. The character doesn't have to be white to convey that. I didn't see the story as the fall of white patriarchy as much as the decline of his particular civilization. And despite the Childe Roland poem, the setting is Western American.

George RR Martin cameo as Stephen King.

True, but you expressed it in actual words. So we could picture you buying 4 books.

But not our 19th century, so there's absolutely no reason he couldn't be of any ancestry to be noble in his world.

Hey, that's my dad too. I'm going to have to steal that joke, I'm afraid.

Gah, I know!! I feel like every time Saul does a "Better Call Saul" commercial in the future, he adds at the end, "Take that Chuckie!"

I'm likely to be disappointed in all my Game of Thrones ships, which include Jaime and Brienne and Sansa and the Hound. Although someone here mentioned Sansa and Margaery, I could support that.

How have the writers not realized this yet?

Oh that was totally me in the 80s with A-Team and Dukes of Hazzard. I bought an old car. But I definitely learned at the feet of babysitters like you with many nights of Love Boat / Fantasy Island.

Wait, what? I need to know more.

Oh yeah… you just missed it.

Thanks!
