I keep hearing that drum sample used in Soul II Soul's Back to Life in very many songs. That is a sample isn't it?

Huge chunk? The *entire genre* wouldn't exist without that sample.

The title track of Dreamboat Annie (along with Soul of the Sea) really elevates that album way above any other Heart ever did. They never came close to that level of concept album artistry after that.

No, Day of the Dead is highly underrated. A great low budget character study where you actually root for the ostensible bad guy. He's the only one who actually makes sense of their tragic situation. Very rewatchable.
