I like Cheap Trick as much as the next guy but there is something different about Dream Police. That song has something I can't explain that rises above "good rock song" into some other level altogether.

Wow, that was amazing. Thanks!
The real robbery: Michael Caine in The Quiet American. Horrific travesty he didn't win for that.
So poetic, apropos of nothing.
No, no, no. Charlotte Rampling is smoldering hot. She can give a look like few others. Hell, I'd gladly take her in Swimming Pool. (Of course Zardoz would be the standard age for most I expect.)
No. But they'll have an app that does that for them.
"booking the musical “Love Boat Follies”—starring Carol Channing, Ethel Merman, and Ann Miller—failed to save the show"
+1 for mentioning a popular Norteno band no one from this side of the border has heard of.
"Women are communicating and making art but they're failures because they're not passing the male focused metrics of success."
"If that entertainment is composed of lies, then people end up believing a bunch of lies."
"…from a psychological perspective, it’s immensely disheartening to see no one like you succeed. DuVernay’s snub isn’t an interesting footnote in Oscar history; it’s a slap in the face to aspiring filmmakers who aren’t white and male."
AGNES MOOREHEAD! I knew she reminded me of someone. It took me this long to remember.
RIP John Rutsey.
What? No mention of Natural Anthem? The best non-drum and bass drum and bass track I have ever heard.
LOL I agree with your point but I was speaking only of the technical skill, not the writing/composing skill. In that regard it is orders of magnitude easier to follow a great than to BE great.
"If Eddie was a new guitarist in the year 2015, he would be a nobody"
I knee jerk disagreed but then I remembered going to a house party in college in the 90s and a classmate showing off his *perfect* rendition of Eruption right there in his living room. That experience kinda lowered my previous awe at the technicality…
Wow, that went south in a hurry. Made me uncomfortable reading it. Eeesh.
That sounds like a great strategy… until you meet the person who claims his heterosexuality was the result of a series of choices over time.
Tell that to the Beatles while they recorded their best albums without any plans to tour with them.
It is not insignificant that Mr Yorke chose $6 as the price point for an album vs iTunes typical $9 and the local CD store's ridiculous $12-$15. I'd gladly pay whomever $6 for an album that I really want rather than steal it.
