Again, that still does not classify as “common” and I didn’t need to go through your replies (and didn’t analyze them?) since you’re the top person commenting in this entire thread.

Common across airlines. There’s on average 660,000 currently flying, thats a good amount of people who are being bumped.

This happens to 10/10,000 passengers, so yes it’s common practice.

By blaming the “idiot”, it only encourages United (and all other airlines) to continue to overbook flight, and then make the illogical decision to randomly kick of passengers (after they’ve already boarded) to make space for their employees who could’ve taken the 4-5 drive to Louisville (or waited for the next flight)

If only it was as simple as “choose another airline”, I don’t think this entire thing would’ve become such a big deal. We can continue to go back to “read the rules”, but as anyone in literally any aspect of business understands, there is this thing called “customer service” and it greatly affects how/if you succeed

She could wear tiny jeans or a tiny skirt with leggings/shorts underneath, both of which my 4 year old does when we take her out somewhere that requires nicer attire than leggings.

If tiny business suits are the only other things besides leggings in a 10 year olds wardrobe, sure? Obviously this was something that her parents should have handled, the responsibility isn’t the 10 year olds. But the fact of the matter is: when using a free ticket, you abide by the rules of the free ticket. If it

You lost your seat. That sucks. There are other flights. Act like an adult an get the fuck off the plane when you are asked and stop holding everyone else up.

How often are people kicked out of these things simply for being there? All the time. As someone who works in the security industry I can tell you - literally all the time.

It’s their plane, their rules, and they’ll enjoy the next week where thousands and thousands of people announce they’ll never fly United again (and deservedly so).

Multiple people have shown you how you are wrong, yet you still believe you’re correct? Feel free to link sources.

They aren’t a private security force for United. Once United told the guy to get off the plane and refused he was now trespassing.

How is this exploitative?

Really makes me want to punch Bernie and his die hards in the mouth. Those fuckers gave us this because they couldn’t handle a woman being in charge. Pathetic, pathetic little man.

Either way, the refs sucked the entire game. Ticky tack fouls that ruined the game by keeping the best players off the court. Which seemed to affect Gonzaga more. I’m not even a fan, but the refs ruined this game for anyone that isn’t a UNC fan. So presumably more than half the audience. I’m saying this as a fan of

I’m pretty sure on the ensuing hypothetical in-bounds play that they would’ve received a 5-second call, which also would’ve hypothetically cost Gonzaga the game.

idk man, ask Flacco

It’s a good thing that someone is kept in solitary confinement for 25 years (without access to basically any normal human activity)? I understand the legal side of things and why it can take a long time, but I’m not sure how anyone could make a reasonable argument for why it takes 25 or more years.
