So these 2 points highlight the main problems with anti-poverty crusaders: (1) they use squishy terms like ‘fair’ or ‘content’ that are too subjective to mean anything, or to lead to any reasonable policy that might help anyone, and they cover up their biases and ideologies by (2) using arbitrary criteria (like

No. I shit on people who bitch about people who don’t help... while not ever helping anything themselves.

People like you Hamilton don’t help. We’ve met. Quite a few times. You’re the guy who avoids the poor and “black” areas. You’re the guy who stands next to a homeless man screaming for everyone to notice the homeless man... yet wouldn’t give him a nickel out of your pocket either, or buy him a sandwich or water.

Except humanity by and large is full of self-service and greed. People don’t give a damn if their neighbor succeeds. They want to reap the rewards of their own hard work. I can assure you that if a hot dog vendor was just as well off as a medical surgeon, that surgeon probably wouldn’t toil and labor as hard as he

Dude. This is not ok. I’m fairly confident that measures like this would lessen the overall revenue you’re looking to split among the public. Who wants to live in a country where unequivocal success is frowned upon?

“So you went from “un-signable” to “floating around the league for a few years [AS A BACKUP MAKING LEAGUE MINIMUM]”? Big difference.”—-> No not really. Its actually basically the same thing. He certainly was never going to be signed to play meaningfully ever again. Next time you quote me, include the important part

So hes going to do that in perpetuity? (Doubt it) He’s basically started a second career as an advocate (as opposed to his other post playing career: “nothing”) Or he would have had he voted and not undermined everything he said.

“They said they would not sign him specifically due to him kneeling during the anthem, nothing else.” —> Well obviously!! The whole point is that its easy to make a posture like that when the QB is terrible and un-signable anyways. If he was GOOD they wouldn’t be saying that. How do you not understand that????

One book advance, not sales, just a book advance, could net Colin multiple millions. I’m supposed to be impressed he donated chump change?

You seem to be someone that doesn’t follow football. CK was terrible for years and this event just happened to coincide with him being benched.

He said ‘Castro is OUR Hitler’. OUR as in Cuba’s, a small island nation. There was no claim of ‘equivalent to scale.’

Thank you

It sure as hell does benefit him. It doesn’t benefit him in the way that it’s going to make him a great NFL QB, but look at all the attention he’s gotten from it.

He clearly has no kind of plan, but, at this point, he’s decided that this whole “awareness” he’s started is now his personal baby that benefits CK as much as anyone else, and he’s going to defend it regardless of how ill thought out or hypocritical some of his actions may be.

Funny how the white liberals who never lived under a ruthless killer/dictator decided that they get to be the arbiters of the Hitler comparisons.

...she takes whatever position is popular at the moment with the greater American public.

You’re welcome to lay the blame at my feet. I’ll weather the storm for you if that’s what you and America would like me to do. But the blame belongs with the democratic party not rising to the occasion to swiftly spare us from Trump.

This election basically boiled down to this for me. One nominee has zero respect for the first amendment the other has zero respect for the second.

We’re all adults here, capable of making our own decisions. If a guy wants to make millions playing football and risk the possibility of long term effects, his call. I won’t shame myself for watching football because it’s a fun sport to watch. Do I enjoy watching guys tear an ACL or get a concussion? Obviously not,

Sorry, head injury. Not really the point of the comment, but I appreciate the correction.
