There’s a huge difference between wanting vacation time, and having outsized expectations of how much and when you can take it. It’s always been my understanding that taking significant time off in the first few months at a new job is a privilege, not something to be demanded.

Completely agree. I hate when a conversation dissolves into snark and cute memes.

I think you were honest about your experience. My “ranting” was more directed at the numerous parents of people I know who feel the need to remind us daily (oddly enough via social media) that we aren’t as good as they were, don’t possess any “skills”, and lack motivation. Good luck with the start up!

I guess I’m just tired of someone who takes 15 minutes to type a one paragraph email telling me my generation lacks motivation and “skills”. I don’t remember too many of our parents paying off what essentially equates to a home mortgage, while being forced into the higher responsibility position prior to age 30.

But my boss, and main source of our funding, wants people who work. The vast majority of millenials I’ve interviewed for our opening don’t GET IT. They come to our office and wonder where our fucking coffee machine and ping pong tables are. They care more about the title than the work.

Funny, the most politically outspoken people I know wear a military uniform.

Are we honestly pretending like soldiers don’t do this on a daily basis? Seems more of a picking and choosing situation.

Where did anyone ask him to provide her a free tow or indicate he worked for the government?

What Bernie Sanders supporter is advocating for $100k income paid by the government for free (ie “they are deserving to live like people who make $100k/year”)?

Such a Christian thing to do, you know, leaving someone in need (let alone disabled, but apparently not disabled enough by his standards) on the side of the road simply because they support a candidate who won’t even be in the general election, thus not affecting the outcome of your preferred candidate (and more

Yea, I hate when teams keep shooting the lowest percentage shot in basketball too.

Would you say saving Cleveland from itself is a greater accomplishment?

Even though I don’t think it was intentional (I would actually prefer it to be intentional), I think it’s exactly the type of message ESPN should send to their own employees and prospective employees (as well as current/former athletes).

Sometimes lying to protect people is the more mature thing to do.

Are you actually trying to convince anyone that “The Decision” is worse than cheating (twice) in your professional sport, and then continuously lying about it multiple times?

I understand that some people may hate Lebron (for whatever reasons), but let’s not pretend that Lebron and A-Rod are on the same planet of douche bag behavior. Lebron’s worst events are “The Decision” (which still raised millions for charity) and his post game comments after losing the Finals a few years back. In

Hey, at least he got the part about Cardinals fans correct. I tend to lump all Chicago sports fans into a shitty category, but that’s mainly centered around the Bears and Jay Cutler.

If you have proof, please feel free to share (also, feel free to read the part where I say “I mean common sense would tell us he more than likely was”).

There’s just something about how the guy operates that makes me wish he would go down as the most overrated superstar in basketball history. If he never wins another title - and especially if he didn’t win one in Cleveland - there’s a possibility history books won’t remember him as fondly as all the other greats.

Are you seriously comparing heroin use and tattoos?
