I always love the logic of “hey we gave up a homer, might as well give up another free base tomorrow as payback”.

Douchecanoe is too perfect.
I don’t want to hear a single fucking person defending a guy who threw at another player’s head, for literally no reason, and then tried to act as if he did absolutely nothing wrong. This is the same guy who grabbed his crotch at the crowd last year.
If any teammates think Papelbon was in the right, they’re fucking morons. Harper is the franchise at the moment. Papelbon actually hurts the franchise more than he helps. He thinks throwing at a guys head, for literally no reason, is some casual part of the game; yet he thinks not running out routine fly balls is…
You can't possible be serious with those examples.
1/10 troll attempt
I think most fans consider losing, as the #3 ranked team, to an unranked team embarrassing.
Hey SteveInWI, I’m JakeWishIWasBackInWI. Go Pack!
Because their mother may lie and force their lawyer to withdraw? That’s why women don’t like to report rapes? Or is your statement nothing to do with the article?
What exactly is Papelbon and the Nats manager arguing? You missed where your catcher was setup by over 2 feet, and it happened to be right at Machado’s head. If you’re going to intentionally hit someone, be a man about it. Coward stuff, just as Machado said.
It doesn’t, and I don’t believe I ever stated that it does. I stated the average soccer game takes 2 hours and 10 minutes. A football game has four 15 minute quarters, yet it takes 3-4 hours. There’s a difference between viewing time and actual game time.
Being that the discussion is completely about game clocks counting up or down, the sports that do not use a game clock would seem to be irrelevant.
How is soccer, in anyway, the most precise of all sports? As an example, football and basketball both stop the clock preserving the exact amount of time on the game clock. On the other hand, soccer adds a vague amount of time based on one individuals interpretation of the time elapsed during stoppage. I would say the…
90 minutes in actual, plus 5 minutes of “extra time” which is completely subjective to the individual’s fandom, or lack of, between the two teams. If you’re going to have “extra time” why not keep track of it to the exact second (like all other sports) to avoid controversy?
As someone who lives in Denver, I can’t say I agree with Stephen A. at all, but I will agree that it ruins traffic on a daily basis when all the drivers in Denver seem to enjoy going 5-10 under the speed limit.
LOL ok buddy. You’re ability to avoid actually engaging in a discussion is quite remarkable.
So then your comment was wrong (claiming I was defending it) and irrelevant (based on your indication of my comment being irrelevant, your comment would then also be irrelevant). How exactly is my comment ignorant? Do you know how Rousey feels about using her body as a marketing tool? Do you get to decide how a woman…
Defense? Where exactly was I defending the practice? Shedding light on the fact that our entire society does this, with both sexes, in every aspect of our daily media consumption? Yes
Yup, no other companies, organizations, or political groups take advantage of the appearance of either sex and use that advantage as a marketing tool.
