I mean, I don’t WANT them to lose for the rest of the year...
But I’d like to let the air out of the balloon before it explodes on me.

I think this is all part of the ploy to keep us interested until the bitter end, but ultimately leave us terribly disappointed. How many years in a row now have the M’s been in the race until the final week?... Its going to take a while for me to move from “cautious” to “cautiously optimistic.”
They have a -22 run differential, 30-14 in 1 run games, 10-1 in extra-inning games. They’re .500 since the break.
9 straight or 10 straight one putts. That was awesome even if most were to save par.
Did you watch that clip of his final birdie? He knew it was in all likelihood meaningless (Koepka would have had to collapse in epic fashion) but was still pretty fired up. Shooting a 64 despite missing everything off the tee? Hell yeah he’s surprised and happy.
The best thing about this second place finish is the boost of confidence that he’s going to get from it. I wouldn’t be surprised if he regains that killer attitude in the coming tournaments. He needed this.
“So if you’re going to pull a random rant about a dead guy remotely related to cars who used to date underage girls...”
Nobody is calling him Jimmy Saville, that man was a literal rapist and the devil incarnate. But it’s not great, and it’s worse because he’s Paul Walker. When it’s some middling dude with no prospects who winds up with a 16 year old because they’re impressionable and fall or an older man then while it is creepy and…
Maybe this is just me speaking for myself, but I think dating someone less than half your age is intrinsically creepy.
“as all good gearheads should.”
“I don’t understand this modification/culture, therefore everyone else should also hate it!”
IDGAF about fighting games but I found his Twitch channel and subbed. Good kid.
I dont know any insider info or behind the scenes stuff, but if its sport radio, Im backing King here.
He was smiling because he told Wynn if he didn’t catch it, he’d cut him immediately and murder his family. He kept smiling because he made that second punt double or nothing.
They never show him kicking the dog on the way back to the locker room.
Looking at his numbers in a vacuum ignores quite a bit about the state of the Rams in 2015 and 2016 vs. 2017.
I don’t think it’s an overpay actually. If you believe he’s an all-world talent, which all available evidence says he is, and you want to keep him long-term it’s cheaper to pay him now. You keep him happy and get in before contracts for Bell or Elliott make him even more expensive.
I am salivating at the possibility that the Rams are stupid enough to pay a WR that has put up decent numbers playing with all-time QBs but not the best defensive lineman in professional football.
