Of course, if the men do not do well in a tournament people are not going to watch. When women are not good, no one watches them either. They generate viewers because the run they have had the last few years is good, and so people watch.

I agree. I think he uses shell corporations and loans to pay for his Trump jet, helicopter, etc. His licensing deals pay for the lifestyle for him and his family. That is why he is such a cheapskate and does not pay vendors on time. I think a financial crisis or issue is what will ultimately break him.

The NBA is a star-driven league like Colin Cowherd says, and those stars set the narrative, regardless of whether they are good business people or PR-savvy. Durant has options off the court because he plays for a high-profile NBA team, located geographically close to Silicon Valley. This ain’t rocket science.
