The car’s design is better than your judgement in making comparisons.

Just spitballing, but the guess is they are making fun of the fact that it’s a car. Also odds are it isn’t really making fun of, just light teasing and he’s itching to show them he likes the cool things that they like too but doesn’t have the budget to really do it.

I was really hoping that merger with FCA would have worked out and we could have gotten a badge-engineered special.

Damn it, why aren’t these available in the States?

I never understood the need to keep up appearances when you have a job that does all the appearances for you. Who cares what car you drive? You’re licensed to pilot a motherfucking JET. Keep your cash and come up with some great retorts for the ribbing that the superficial tech bros and venture cap babies feel they

I wouldn’t call it “barely midsize”.  It’s still a 3-row SUV.

He does seem to imply that he’d drive an SUV despite not needing one, just to feel more accepted. He clearly doesn’t want a truck, and he doesn’t want 3 rows of seats.

I hate to say it but I would have pulled a “Crazy Tracy” and recommended one of these...

The only shuddering plants in Ohio are the ash trees when they see the emerald ash borers headed their way.

Based on the filth of this thing, a working UV light will just show up a lot of other things my eyes aren’t ready for. I doubt its functionality is to the seller’s benefit.

Ultra Luxury editions are purchased by people looking for the Ultra Luxury editions. They want the romance of the car. The Cadillac DTS Lux III was one such car. The 300C Luxury Edition was another, for a little while. Just like the Jeep Unlimited.

The last car with a power antenna was the 2008 Jaguar XK, last car with a cassette player 2010 Lexus SC, last car with a bench seat 2016 Impala Limited

I have a buddy who had a 500 Abarth. He loved it, and it sounded so incredible. It’s the kind of car that makes you giggle at every turn.

I paid well less than $20K for the one I bought *new* five years ago. I would have a hard time buying a pre-hooned one when leftover new ones are as cheap as they are, with full warranty and nobody else’s farts in the seats. But I am probably not as price-sensitive as the average parent’s-basement-dwelling Jalop.

The pre-owned Fiat 500 Abarth: It’s like a roadside fried chicken place in Macon, Georgia. The sign says “chiken” crudely painted on a wood plank.

Base price doesn’t include ANY mobile charging gear, s0 $1k to $1.5k to connect it to an outlet, and another $500 to let 400V charging go higher than 50 kW as it would for a Nissan LEAF. 800 V charging stations will be exclusively for Taycan for now, so most stations likely won’t have it.

This is precisely what they’d do. Battery packs are always put into battery conditioning units when doing testing, this is extremely common and everyone, including Tesla, use them. They also control the temperature, humidity, and air density inside the test cell during all tests.

But, like...no.  People who have the money for a 100K car don’t automagically have the money for a 200K car.  That’s not how money works.

How many people have posted here that they would not buy an EV because of charging issues?

You....you don’t know many Porsche owners do you?

A couple years late, but finally proof that major OEMs can build a Model S rival just as compelling in style, execution and performance*.
