Phase 1a is for front-line medial workers. Phase 1b would be for essential workers, which is the phase Uber is trying to get its contractors into.

We kind of have that in my industry. When engineers are no longer contributing or have gotten too expensive they get moved over to Business Development, which basically means “We want you to leave but don’t want to actually fire you.” Unsurprisingly this type of role doesn’t work that well for many engineers.

The only reason why there are currently multiple standards is because Trump threw out the agreement that the EPA made with California to follow a single standard. The only reason for this was pettiness since the “scientific” justification was completely made up crap.

The brake lights also seem to flash on for a fraction of a second just after it started accelerating. I wonder if he realized he was on the wrong pedal, tried to slam the brakes but slid off back onto the accelerator.

Nothing has come out of Blue Origin, but ULA has announced that the BE-4 engines they are getting from BO to be used in the Vulcan are undergoing multiple test fires and are now getting the expected thrust after some early issues. These are the same engines that will be used in New Glenn, so at least we know their

I usually love Torch’s articles, but this one seems surprisingly poorly researched.

Uhhh, no comments about the blatant racism in the post that BMW was replying to? I guess calling it “Hilarious Criticism” is one way of looking at it.

The Neon’s cooler, RWD cousin: the Dodge Demon.

I was always intrigued by the Intrigue and actually wound up buying one in 2000, mostly because I had heard a lot about GM’s vaunted Northstar V8 at the time, and the Intrigue had a 3.5L V6 derivative nicknamed the Shortstar.

On our family trip to Europe when I was about 12 we got one of these as our rental car. It was surprisingly quick for the time and my dad was actually pretty impressed with it’s performance considering it had a fairly tiny engine. Ever since I was a little enamored by random Europeen cars we’d never hear of on this

Incorporating does not mean being listed on the stock exchange. Tesla went public in 2010, 2-years after starting to book revenue.

The system has not been stagnant over the past 250 years. See the chart below showing taxes by income, which basically shows that in 2018 the bottom 5% are paying the highest amount of tax historically while the top 5% are paying the lowest.

Front end looks almost like a Citroen BX even has the squarish wheel arches. Everything else? Not so much.

Nice work putting that together. Some of the very low prices are likely due to partial ownership. For example the 1991 M20M is listed for $39,000, but that is only for 1/3 ownership, so the actual price is $117,000.

Astro’s Still The Right Option

There’s an optional 3rd row seating for the X5, but it’s really only for small children or people you hate. I’m not sure if you can get it on the M, but the regular X5 is still plenty quick.

SLS Block 1 (26 metric tonnes to trans-Lunar injection) is much less powerful than the Saturn V (47 tonnes), though the updated Block 1b with the exploration upper stage (EUS) will close the gap a bit (37 tonnes).

You want to cruise in style in the 80s, that means you need yourself a Cadillac. During the Age of Covid, you will still need to practice social distancing even while on the road, which is why this is perfect. Sure it’s a 1990 model year, but that just means it was possibly built in 1989.

Holy dang, I just did this on Autotrader and landed on a 2001 Honda Prelude with 97,000 km (60,000 miles). 200 HP VTEC, low mileage, and seemingly great condition for just over $5,000 USD. Only one weird quote from the ad:

Yes it was disclosed. Tesla sold $134M of emission credits in Q3 2019.
