I have a feeling this car will wind up on Meh Car Monday sometime in the next decade. When Hybrids and EVs are ubiquitous, this will be lost in the annals of history as the most forgotten addition to the genre.

This is so incredibly wrong. Emissions are measured in mg/mile. Current EPA rules allow from 150-600 mg/mile of NOx (which is what causes respiratory issues) for heavy duty trucks.
