I'd watch season 2 of Dollhouse over SHIELD any day. And season 2 of Dollhouse wasn't great. But, again, better than this.

If he had a psychotic break — which is what you've been talking about this entire time — then he was mentally ill at the time. He may have come out of it, but that's what a psychotic break is.

If a mentally ill person has broken from reality completely and is incapable of understanding or controlling his or her actions, then no, they cannot be held responsible.
