The problem is when most characters can’t switch to paper, or they have no effective way to counter rock. If the game is such that many characters will lose from the selection screen because you choose rock, regardless of player skills, there is something wrong with the game.
I am willing to bet WB was a lot more protective of Jason than with any other character appearing in MK (with the possible exception of Freddy)

You seriously overestimating developers maturity. There are multiple cases when they add sites that give a bad review to black lists, report on people giving them bad reviews or deleting and moderating comments with not so glowing content or that report bugs...
