thats the thing they may both be assholes but one is a rather unfit looking one who doesnt exactly seem the sort to have been in many fights in his life, the other actually does train in some form of martial art and is significantly younger and fitter.

Agree 100%. Leather might not be ideal but I kinda would rather make use of a steak’s old, unused skin. than make some crappy analogue out of something even worse.

Synthetic materials are 100% about customer perception and 0% about animal welfare or environmentalism.  Hell the production of most synthetic seating material is worse for the environment than animal hide.  But it’s easier for OEM’s to avoid publicity problems if they switch to synthetics.

I have one word for you "microplastics". The overwhelming majority of leather substitutes are petrochemical based. There is one niche product based on mushrooms but it's very rare. Personally I think wool needs to make comeback.

It’s extremely weird you have no idea that literally billions of people around the world use bicycles as a mode of transportation because they can’t afford (or don’t want to use) cars.

Surely this is sarcasm, because I don’t see how the bicyclists are the ones endangering anyone here.

Stupid comment of the year candidate right here. Many people use bicycles to commute/get around so that won’t work. And sure a twenty five pound bike with a rider is more dangerous than a 2 ton vehicle 

There are car only roads, enjoy those. I bike for exercise, I also bike commute, for some people a bike is the only way they have to get places. Learn to share the road.
