The New York Times, several notches up from TMZ on the journalistic respectability scale...

Damm kids complaining about the Grammy's being irrelevant without even knowing who Jethro Tull is.

What the government is doing here actually makes sense and is what the people and car companies want....... I’m scared

Man, how great would it be if Netflix just took a stand and was the first company to say to investors:

Yeah, I think the “hm, I might not cast my entire viewing future on Netflix” shoe dropped when Santa Clarita Diet was cancelled after a hysterical season 3 ended on a doozy of a cliffhanger.

By your standard, the Escape, Ecosport, RAV4, Jeep Cherokee, Compass, and Renegade, CX-5, CRV, Equinox, Blazer, etc are all not SUVs

You don’t even have to go back to grandpa and asbestos to find an example of this… just look up the words “gas stove” on Twitter today.

I thought it was a lovely time. Like you said, not as shimmering as Knives Out, which is just so perfect. But completely enjoyable and the type of movie we need more of. It told an interesting story and had good twists and it was smarter than your average bear. There is an audience for that, for sure.

Not to mention this obsession with the past which has left the Saga damaged and the universe stagnant and unsure of its future...

Watching The Way of Water I could tell that this was something Cameron had in his notebook for a while- it has the weird energy of a pet project, it’s just that he also has a very good instinct for appealing to moviegoers. Like, you’ve got the clear build of the film around family relationships and children struggling

I agree in general terms, but I think what Cameron brings to those films that Disney won’t is an almost obsessive attention to detail and a commitment to making them good at all costs, which is why they take decades to make. Even if you don’t like them, it’s hard to deny that the effort that went into them is all up

The world would be a utopia if everyone had the courage to say:

We actually had that reckoning here in Indiana when I was in high school. for the longest time schools didn’t teach financial literacy because “that’s the role of the parents” then the state ran a test statewide to see what the financial literacy levels were and oh god it was a bloodbath (we’re talking like a pass

I think many people could benefit from financial literacy classes in high school but there are also a lot of people in our country who take pride in being woefully ignorant even if it hurts them in the end. We just spent the last three years watching half of America intentionally ignore the guidance of nearly every

I’ll admit I’m not the financial expert here, but my understanding is that the 30-day nature of these loans makes any sort of truth in lending page confusing at best and deceitful at worst. It keeps rolling over into a new loan until you pay it off, but the terms of the loan are month-to-month.
