The speculation around men’s sexuality is definitely there but I think it presents differently. Eilish was getting a lot of attention for wearing “masculine” clothes. To me it looked like she was just wearing baggy, comfortable clothes, but lots of people wanted to read into that. Meanwhile a guy could wear fancy

It's true in the sense that women don't apply nearly the same level of judgement to mens bodies as men do to women's bodies. But it would probably be more accurate to say that society in general applies much more judgement towards women's bodies than mens bodies.

The article accurately describes what my experience has been, as recently as last weekend.

My experience has been exactly what’s described in the article. The most egregious example was when my wife told a salesperson she was interested in buying an RV or a PHEV, and his response was “why would you want to do that?”. I’ve worked in sales, and those are words that I can’t even imagine coming out of my mouth.

Definitely not alone here, in my opinion this is easily the single worst cover on the list. It's fine that other people like it, but to me it's like nails on chalkboard.

I have to disagree with the Sounds of Silence cover. I understand why people like it but to me it’s so far over the top it’s obnoxious. The original version doesn’t need the drama turned up to 11; what makes it great is that the whole arrangement is so understated.

Yeah but my car has doors that don’t need an instruction manual to know how to open them. In an emergency anyone can open them without giving it a second thought.

Nah, it's a ramp. I don't know why anyone would call it a tarmac.

What? GTA5' main character animations look great... For 2013. Just off the tip of my head, any given emote in Fortnite looks much more fluid and seamless than character movement in GTA 5.

Sounds like sour grapes to me.

I will go to my grave believing that it’s important to get that first dent on your car, so you can stop worrying about them.

As a Honda Fit owner who works downtown, I can absolutely confirm this. If the vehicle physically fits, someone will park it, they don't care. Luckily there are usually a couple of spots that truly are too damn small for most vehicles, which I will happily grab.

Nah, Godzilla vs Kong was an all-time great dumb movie. Don’t watch if you want characters or a comprehensible plot. But if you want Godzilla and King Kong beating the piss out of each other on an aircraft carrier, this is the movie for you!

Yeah but where’s the progress on that? They bought that solar company and them what? A pivot to focusing on energy delivery and battery tech has a lot of upside in the long run but at this point I’ll believe it when I see it.

Take another pass and keep it around for future posts. It could be a nice running gag like the old sports site used to do for certain sports figures.

You comment is disingenuous. It’s been studied and larger vehicles present a greater danger than smaller vehicles. Sure, it's possible for any car to kill someone, but that's not really the point here, the point is whether one presents a greater danger than the other.

Let's repeal DMCPA and replace it with your post. Like literally just copy and paste your post in place of DMCPA and call it good.

Somewhat related to the topic at hand, my mom owned a 1984 Colt and it was a major piece of shit. By the time she sold it (with barely 90k miles) it was not even safe to take on the highway, because it could barely manage 55 MPH. A couple of days after trading it in, she gets a phone call. From what I can hear of her

Yeah but 95 of those 100 were shit like "home improvement" or "Matlock".
