Yeah, I am kind of confused because the “off” images look much better to me.

I think they will start with a Mario Kart title.

I don't think you'll see Nintendo games for less than $9.99 unless they do free-to-try (which is my bet for their strategy).

I would be okay with them cutting out the digital functionality and just continuing to make the toys. Especially if they sold non-digital ones for less. Yay, plastic!

These black-on-black images are Tom Haverford-approved. It truly is the dopest color scheme.

I suspect they don’t like the idea of people complaining that the demo, which is essentially an ad for a product no longer coming out, is some kind of false advertising. Might be a legal thing.

I guess I’m in the minority, but I’ve always preferred the U.S. SNES over the Super Famicom’s design. I just wish the grey plastic didn’t discolor over time.

There has been so much great Alan Wake coverage lately—I love it! This game is unique in so many ways, and I really hope Remedy gets around to making a sequel.

Man, the Silent Hill franchise really can't catch a break. Unless Kojima and del Toro left behind all the plans for this game (unlikely), then any game that does come out will be markedly different. There's always the hope/chance it could be good, too, but it's hard to imagine it being as good as the potential shown

I agree about the overload of AC games! I have the same backlog as you.

You need to go to Nintendo Zone locations. You'll get lots!

I like the idea of voice chat in online shooters, but rarely the experience. But I do see that it would be beneficial for the team-centric gameplay of Splatoon. Why not give an option to only speak with your team if you opt in?

Saw this in the Nintendo Direct and thought it looked cool. Glad to hear it is—I'll check it out on the eShop!

This really sucks. At first I was thinking that I hope they’ll bring these to 3DS. Now that I see they’re not actual, proper games, I guess I don’t care and can only hope these do terribly sales-wise. Vote with your wallet, people!

I still need to finish Wind Waker HD, and buy/finish Majora's Mask...plus a ton of other games. I'm all for a delay that leads to a better game!

Boo. Amiibo need to live free!

First off, this is a fascinating article and the type of "beyond normal games coverage" writing and critical thinking I love to see on Kotaku. Nice piece!

You know how badly this franchise is tied to its sexualized image? It took me four times scrolling past it on Kotaku to finally click (and that was only really because I enjoy Fahey's writing so much). I'm glad I did because I really didn't realize there was more to this game!

I like shorter games that are heavy on story and look great. The nine-ish hour first play through actually sounds great to me (and I'll probably take even longer as I tend to play games more slowly). Still, I have no reason to rush to make a purchase before reading a few actual reviews.

Yeah, but this is an article talking about the special edition 3DS XL console, not the game ;-)
