Do you not use 3D? brightness at lowest? Wifi off? I've gotten around two hours of playtime with SSFIV 3D. It's really not that portable when you need to keep the system plugged.

It's the lack of software. Isn't this the first Nintendo Portable that released without a launch Mario game? Once Nintendo fans get their Marios and Pokemans, 3DS will sell like hotcakes.

The framerate is visible on the screen, it fluctuates between 45 and 60 fps.

It is pretty cool. I have my side screens angled to about 45 degrees, so I use the side screens for peripheral vision. Turning your head and looking straight at the side screens is kind of weird, especially since the picture stretches progressively. Using your eyes without moving your head to look around works a lot…
