Wait a minute, wait a minute, we’re all burying the lede here.  There’s a huge can of worms that’s been opened up here. If Doctor Ruth is from a different timeline, then that means the Peter Cushing movies, in which The Doctor is a human named Who, are canon. Mind blown.

Here I disagree. Walter should show up near the end of THIS season, and Breaking Bad will start out as a very minor B plot, as it was in Saul’s life, until it takes over everything.

The Wizard of Northampton grudgingly appreciating someone successfully expanding on his work? HAH! Next you’ll be telling me he’s going to vote in an election!

So it’s not called THE Servant because I might confuse M. Night Shyamalan with Harold Pinter and James Fox with Lauren Ambrose? I can totally see that.

With the number of female dogs in this film, one would expect references to bitches.

This is nothing more than a reprisal of his role in Coffee and Cigarettes, done to make a quick paycheck.

I was impressed by the look, but where was the joke? Dark Muppets have been done before with Meet The Feebles, Greg the Bunny, Avenue Q, and The Dark Crystal, among others. (There were also dark Muppets on the first season of Saturday Night Live.) And as usual they refused to let the audience figure anything out for

What would be better than an African Queen remake would be a metafictional dramatization of Skipper Dan.

I’m walking with dead people (Wow!)

Now playing

And to explain the joke of the closing song:

Yeah, Taxi Driver didn’t get anyone shot.

Hell. Did you not see the end of Angels in America?

So it’s not The Edward G. Robinson Story?

The opening sequence is clearly a riff on All That Jazz, especially with Tamme saying “Showtime!” the same way Roy Scheider does in the move, and with the same Vivaldi concerto playing (at least I think it’s the same. Who am I kidding? All Vivaldi is the same.)

Boy,’80's Stephen King is a dead ringer for present day Joe Hill.

Um... anyone else want to tell him? ... Well, y’see , Joe Hill is a pen name, his real name’s Joseph Hillstrom King. Steve’s his dad.
