Hopefully it will be more faithful to the book and be 3 hours of a guy telling me how great facism is.

FWIW, Verhoeven's take on Starship Troopers was a brilliant inside joke because he was old enough to remember life under fascism and used ST as a vehicle to comment on it. Sadly, I think back when the film was released and even more now, too many folks who watch the film don't get this.
