I'm partial to the original ROBOCOP (1987). The graphic violence involved in Murphy's demise is sort of shocking. Really makes you hate the bad guys which makes it sooo satisfying when Robocop starts hunting them down. The sinister violence, IMHO, was key to really defining the baddies. They don't just kill him,

To be fair, one of the reasons for Luke being dressed the way he is in RoTJ is to tease a possible fall to the Dark Side. His whole character arc from ESB to the end of RoTJ revolves around the internal conflict he feels. He knows his father fell, he had the vision experience on Dagobah where his face was in the

it's a good example of how out of touch with his own property Lucas was. It's like the prequels were reverse engineered by a writer who didn't have a show bible, and assumed everything in the movies were all there was... Like they're bootleg films.

this reminds me of something that always annoyed me about the prequels. After ROTJ I assumed the Jedi dressed something like Luke here:

I get stuck writing all the time. Need a bigger chair or to lose some weight.

Because unlike the American system, they get years of experience and practice before they get hyped as the Next Big Thing(tm).

After seeing the new "Planet of the Apes" movie last night, maybe the planet would be better off with the apes in charge.

saving the earth for from humans

Finally someone is taking on national scientific organizations and their weird obsession with saving the earth for humans

There is nothing wrong with any of the casting decisions.

Personally I rather enjoyed the movie. I would have happily attended a sequel that picked up with the first movie left off.

No matter how you slice it...this dude is up there.

"Superstition is the belief in supernatural causality—that one event leads to the cause of another without any natural process linking the two events"

I also think that people calling those who believe in religion idiots and morons believing in superstition are as close minded as the people they publicly bash.

You win the internet!

That line about engineers in the trailer is one of the stupidest fucking things I have ever heard.

Agricultural Engineering anyone? Ugh.

It's not really fair to say some of our best thinkers were religious, especially when it was the default position to take. There's also the fact that a lot of the time to claim otherwise would get you arrested/killed.

We love this show & have just kind of ignored historical anomalies, it is just awesome in itself for the colliding cultures & badassery. In true historical fashion we wager to see who's going to get knocked off- or up- next. Floki is my fave!

I'm so sorry, I know this is seriously juvenile..but this scene really was the first think I thought of when I saw this pic of the airship...
