I don't think that number is out of line. Maybe you do. Maybe 39 is a bit high, maybe its closer to 30. Either way, the point is, there are quite a few players better. Better leaders, better point guards, better defenders, better all of the above.

When he is the 5th or 6th scoring option, his style of play could work. He had talented players around him that could cover for his deficiencies. He had Perkins, Garnet, players that were talented defenders and could rebound. He wasn't a leader and didn't have to be.

If you watch Boston basketball, you know this scout is dead-on. They were worse with him last year than without him, and their defense has been worse this year once he returned.
