So it’s currently possible to mint a new NFT with a file that is bit-for-bit identical to an existing NFT? That seems a bit daft.

You did no such thing, but thanks for the tip :)
That’s an argument against using NFTs to buy and sell art, which I already agree with. The backlash I also agree with wholeheartedly, but it’s annoying to me now.
I’m not arguing for them. All I care about is whether the technology can work as designed, because there could be value in that beyond buying and selling useless digital images. If it can’t, I’d like to know why not. That is an argument that would be free of emotional interference. Whether I “kind of like them” or not…
I don’t know what swbf2 is, but NFT isn’t strictly limited to videogames and GIFs.
NFT art outrage is literally everywhere I go. That being said, there is quite a lot I don’t like about the gaming industry right now. Getting my news from anywhere doesn’t make much of a difference to me, every outlet annoys me for different reasons. So fear not, I don’t hold Kotaku as some arbiter of the current mood…
Um.
If I had said “my opinion is that”, this entire response falls apart, if you’re just basing it on disingenuous reading of the word “feel”.
At a base level I feel like there can be economic value in providing for actual digital scarcity. A revision of NFTs would probably do well to strengthen the relationship between ownership and the file itself. Something like using your ownership of a file to prove authenticity of digitized personal documents, for…
Where do I find an academic (read: not emotional) argument against NFTs as a technology? I’m really bored of hearing super emotional takes on it.
I really don’t want to see anybody on TV talking about videogames period so...meh.
Dick Blood.
Can I block "Logan Paul" from all of my browsers? I legitimately hate seeing his name related to anything ever.
But the people that enjoyed it don’t care about the misrepresentations...right? What you’re saying doesn’t really seem to make sense. It seems like you’re more mad about people hating on your favourite comic than anything else. You and I can just agree to disagree that bullying is a style of comedy though :D
Please explain all of the stand up comics that continue to find steady work and success without worrying about “cancel culture”.
“we evolved from monkeys but why we still got monkeys”
Just as a “comedian” can feel free to tell a shitty joke, anyone else is free to tell them they’re an asshole and it wasn’t funny.
Twitch is a trip.
Not hard. But sometimes it’s better to cook directly in the sauce. Something something flavor.
For the vegetarians: You probably know this already, but you can still make the candy cane cookies with beetroot juice instead of red food dye!
Paul is never fighting an actual boxer. I hate all of you for giving him this attention
