Would you recommend the book? I’ve just binge watched it because Kathryn Hahn, but I loved it and want to a) re-watch and b) read the book, but reading the book after loving a visual adaptation never usually ends well.

The films were Savages and Hick (apparently). The latter was awful, I wouldn’t recommend it at all, so far you can find the pissing bit on YouTube i’d do that! Savages was quite good though, and very pretty to look at.

True. To be clear, I have nothing against her personally, I just have an allergic reaction when I see waves of young blonde actresses constantly touted as the next big thing. When someone stands out, I really pay attention, hence my comment.

Hahahaha, I know that feeling. Both films clearly made such a huge impact on me (although the bridge-piss film title has come back to me now, it was Hick). ATJ was mouth-wateringly delightful in that drugs and surfing flick though. What an attractive young man he is.

Someone on Jezebel recommended these books a few months back and I was going to read them but promptly forgot about it. Thanks for reminding me, i’m going to read the books and then get stuck into the fillums!

I don’t want to like Blake Lively, but she was great in that film about the drug dealers, and I was also impressed with her ability to do a piss off the side of a bridge while standing up in that other film.
