I see, I’m intrigued about how it’s going to be received. I haven’t played it myself, but from simple googling looks like it’s more... intense compared to Hakuouki.
Wait, Amnesia’s going to be localized? Interesting, I guess it’s a reasonable choice since it’s a rather successful franchise with a ton of follow-up games, like Hakuouki.
They didn’t reveal much about the main plot, just that the TV shop owner has been acting suspicious and then one day Okabe received a call from Suzuha, who is not supposed to exist anymore in that timeline. There’s quite a lot of detail regarding the characters though. Daru has turned Future Gadget to become a…
The other guy’s concern is actually understandable.
If you think after the series’ happy end then the movie won’t destroy your feels, you’re going to be very surprised. I watched the movie directly after finishing the series, thinking it’s going to be some kind of a happy epilogue. So, so wrong.
Still, do watch it!
I suspect this is the reason why the new novel got cancelled, the one that’s supposed to be a continuation of the true ending. They even already released the new character art and everything. I was livid when they cancelled it just weeks before release. When I read the headline I thought they’ll use that setting for…
LOL Pintokoon. I’m not sure how but I really hope they can find someway to keep these puns in localization. It makes discovering a new yokai in the games very fun. You’ll always remember them with such well-thought connection between their names and design. I’m guessing it works wonders to make kids remember.
The difference is, the games you mentioned aren’t loaded with Japanese customs, lores, pop culture references, etc. Also the yokai designs and names which are a big part of the gameplay and the charm of this franchise, use Japanese language puns and require some knowledge of Japanese culture to understand.
LOL I’m holding my stomach here at how the video promotes how “USA” the third game is.
So glad to hear that the 3rd movie’s focusing more on character development.
Yes, from what I’ve seen so far it looks like Square Enix has taken some lessons from recent western RPGs regarding how the characters talk and banter with others. At least they don’t spew cliche shounen anime lines or cryptic words everytime they speak.
Impression on Noctis: “ I like his voice”
Dat character design. Nintendo, if you’re trying to lure female gamers to this game, you just made one perfect step with that. I’m already screaming internally here.
Tired topic is tired.
And this, is exactly why I think many Southeast Asian folks are not ready to be "global". There are too many over-proud people here who can't accept any form of criticism or other people's interpretation about our culture, which are not always positive/accurate. It's just a game!
I remember seeing my older cousins did this to their SNES cartridge, they even sometimes lick it, or put it in the slot very, very slowly until something came up on the screen. I was very little and just watched them in awe back then lol.
Mine's not exactly an issue with PC gaming, more like learning about PC gaming (or laptop gaming in my case) the hard way.
That's why I stopped watching local TV channels ages ago (with an exception for one news channel). We don't even have anime anymore. Not surprising considering how the most popular anime series these days simply won't pass our ridiculous censorship criterias.
The first game isn't that bad. The overall tone is a bit different compared to the anime (and the second game, which is made after the anime got super popular). Dare I say, it's slightly more mature? I remember how different Whisper was in the first game compared to the constantly screaming butler ghost that he is in…
