I don't hate her. I just don't think she's any good. What I do hate are her crazy, simple-minded, controlling "fans" who just can't seem to accept that some people feel differently.

People are entitled to their opinions. My opinion is you have way too much time on your hands. Also, Beyonce stinks.

I'm guessing public "devotion to Kim" is page 27, paragraph 3, line 4 of the contract.

As an Alice Munroe fan from way back, her winning of the Prize is thrilling. I think one of the best things about it is that she is primarily a short story writer and most people I know don't like to read short stories but I love them so it's nice to see them get a little respect! Of course she's a disaster live. Haven't you heard: she gives no fucks.

Sorry, you're wrong. Adele has written many of her own songs. Yes, many (especially the most recent album) were written with others, but girl can write a song.

Not that long ago Philip Roth was criticized for saying he did not read very much fiction anymore, that as he has gotten older his tastes had moved on to more non-fiction. He was criticized as if it's his responsibility to read

I was never a big fan of Billy Joel's music, but a few months ago I read this interview with him and fell in love with the man:
