I just finished watching it and really enjoyed it. I wasn’t overly familiar with any of the other versions but live action will always require some changes. My only complaint is that there were only eight episodes. Hopefully a potential season 2 will be a bit longer.

I find myself in the rare position of having no access to the source material outside of the osmosis of being an anime watcher. That might be for the best.

If this show were sent back in time to 9-14 year old me, it would the best goddamn thing I had ever seen in my life.

Long time fan here. Imo they mostly did a great job; I really enjoyed it. I view their show as an elseworlds One Piece adaptation that shows some “what if” moments. My major critiques include omitting major character moments for Usopp in Syrup Village, giving Luffy a few lines of very un-Luffylike dialogue, and

I don’t mind the idea of those changes, I just don’t think they were executed well. The fishmen are not as threatening as they should be.

I think that FOR THE MOST PART, the show did a good job. I do feel there are some choices I just don’t understand.

Yup, that’s an important clarification. The great things about FSR is that it’s card agnostic.

Honestly the only time big n messes up royally with a premature game announcement was/is prime 4. They've done a good job keeping things close to their chest until it's close to gold. (See dread)

There was a reviewer that I read who had a background in programming and game development, and it was actually rather funny watching him try to parse how Nintendo’s programmers were able to make BotW possible on the Wii U and eventually reach the conclusion that their game engine was built using witchcraft and sorcery.

I’m pretty sure BotW is around the same size, ~16 gigs on the cart

2022

How on earth is the game only 16GB???

Oh yeah, definitely picking this up tomorrow.

Go tell that to Metroid fans. Or even better: Star Fox or even F-Zero fans....

I’m all of those. Woe is me!

I can’t freakin wait.

Marvel had a comic run series called Damage Control with a similar concept. It’s a solid gold idea that just needs The Office style caliber casting and guest cameos of your movie property characters settling insurance claims. “I have The Hulk on Line 1, he says Hulk Doesn’t Understand New Terms And Agreement on his

Marvel was all over this at 1989 and it’s astonishing this isn’t at least a limited web series:

I remember watching a playthrough of the first Injustice game and dying laughing. In the last Chapter you play as the good Superman from the alternate universe who comes to beat the bad Superman. The FIRST gameplay segment is a QTE minigame destroying cars that Black Adam is throwing at you.

Now playing

An oldie but a goodie regarding Superman and cars.

You’re talking about Sarah.
