The opening mission where you’re getting the spider bot and the ways it can change depending on choices is still the most ambitious part of that game and no other quest lives up to it imo.

Isn’t this pretty much the same thing that happened with The Witcher 3? I got it years after launch, but I heard is was a mess that eventually got fixed up into the game that people rave about today.

I enjoyed the game well enough for what it was when it came out. I think these improvements are neat, especially being able to buy and decorate apartments, but I don’t really have a reason to go back until NG+ or an expansion comes out.
When you roll the gacha, always do your wishes one at a time. There is no benefit to rolling 10 at a time. Usually, you want to avoid duplicates and not all characters have good constellations for rolling a duplicate. It’s usually better to build a large cast of party members for different situations.
