You know that the “old man yells at clouds” statement isn’t a blanket statement that gives younger people an excuse to do literally anything, no matter how mind-numbingly stupid it is, right?

I haven’t, but I don’t see it hurting TOO much. It just means you might not get as much structures built and some things will take longer to build. Zip lines might not be able to cover the whole map if you don’t get to utilize others. But I don’t know for sure, that’s just what I think it’d be like.

Yah, the first half of the game drastically overshadows the second half. I get that games always have to give you SOMETHING to make you feel like you’re progressing and getting ways to fight back, but it perhaps went too far. That would have all been fine if not for the weak ending. The last chapter is basically an

Here’s a solution: don’t care about the game then. No one is forcing you to pay attention to it, if you see a headline, just scroll down.

Seeing news stories using that term bothers me a bit. It’s bad enough that it’s a meme to begin with, but for it to be given extra legitimacy is…I dunno….feels tacky. I’m already on the fence about Oppenheimer because of the subject matter (the guy is one of the main reasons the world has gotten so f*cked up in a lot

I hate that Call of Duty is the singularly focused part of all of this. I get it for the popularity, but that’s not the only major problem with a move like this. Microsoft has essentially bought up crap tons of IPs that have long existed on other consoles as well as crap tons of development studios that were making

All I have to say is screw any “gamer” who supports this practice. This goes FAAAAAR beyond anything anyone has done in the video game industry throughout history. One company buying the odd development studio that usually makes games for them primarily is one thing, buying mega publishers with tons of studios under

On the one hand, this is extremely funny just the thought of all of them listening to this random person ranting about something so unbelievably small scale. On the other hand, what a colossal waste of money over something so incredibly stupid.

Was anyone honestly expecting anything else? They can barely get their games running properly anyways when they release them. They have refused to move forward technologically for many years now, so what else should be expected? I don’t think this should be the dealbreaker for anyone, but I don’t mind Bethesda getting

I’m on both sides, but at this point I feel like 60fps should be something of a standard for high-end games. Some games handle it better than others and eyes can always adjust, but with how little this generation of consoles added to the previous generation visually, fps is a good way to differentiate.

It’s barely more serious fare. Story was NEVER a priority with Zelda games. Link also has no character so it’s not like they can screw him up either.

Why in the hell would Nintendo go with another studio (unless Illumination can only work on one at a time)? Mario made far more than any video game movie ever has. Also, Zelda games have very simple plots for the most part so it’s not like a movie would need to be super deep or anything. They also get tons of leeway

I feel like Lightyear had a poor performance because it had no idea what audience it wanted to direct itself towards. It was a complete reworking of a character to make him less fun, and the tone far more serious than it should have been. It’s plot was meh, it’s twists were meh, it lacked a whole lot of imagination,

The HD collection didn’t include the original MGS if I recall so that’s nice to see at least. Vol 2 I’m also interested in if it finally means we get MGS 4 brought to modern consoles.

You’re not wrong. I mean, the likes tend to skew towards not buying into it, but there is ALWAYS people just jumping to the corporations defence. People who make all of the excuses to justify the money they’ve already sunk into it. It’s frustrating to see, but I don’t think it’s the majority of people.

That’s the most “bootlicker” thing I’ve heard all day. Why does this hurt you so much? What do you actually care? EVERY JOB SHOULD PAY ENOUGH TO BE ABLE TO PAY RENT (unless you’re part time and just trying to make some extra cash a few hours a week). Why is this a difficult thing to understand? Why defend the rich

He’d better get ready for a harrassment campaign. Happened to Jim Stephanie Sterling with Breath of the Wild. People who care so much about review scores need to realize how incredibly lucky they are to have no actual problems in their lives.

This is the best take I’ve read in these comments so far. I used to be more into Xbox back when they had great exclusives, but they have yet to give me a reason to buy one of their consoles since. Now they’re trying to just buy the board with hopes they can steal a bunch of franchises from their competitors it would

“Proud Marvel movie hater”

Yah, and video game prices dropped for a reason. That was too expensive then and it’s too expensive now. I’m so tired of “inflation” being used to justify price gouging in every walk of life. EA is NOT a poor company, they are making money hand over fist. This constant resignation I see from gamers on this issue is
