I watch mostly British dramas and movies...and they seem always to have known this. Watched a couple of Ruth Rendell-inspired dramas last night, and even the leading ladies were very ordinary looking. Some did not even have perfect teeth. More so, though, in the ones filmed in the 80's and 90's than now.
