it may be limited to 2 to 3 mph but what happens when it autosummons into the roadway and you get clipped by a car at 35 mph. Stupid people make mistakes and it has already happened

Gotta say, I was thinking exactly the same thing.

Removing weight won’t increase μ (coefficient of friction). Street tires aren’t going to get you much better than 1.0, and that’s only good for a 2.8 second run to 60.

If Tesla just removed all the seats and anything nonessential like the touchscreen and replaced it with some buttons, it would easily break the under 2.5s 0-60 barrier, maybe even more. Then they could learn from Porsche and charge double for the Model S GT3.
