He said in the interview that their internal reviews placed the game double digit scores higher. So evidently they believed they had a solid game. Their internal reviews just suck and he’s going to look into that too.

I went through the verification process my guy, we all had to be vetted
My understanding is they have TV rights (not film or video game) to The Lord of the Rings (but not The Hobbit/The Silmarillion/etc). I was under the impression that anything mentioned in the Appendices is fair game, since that’s technically part of The Lord of the Rings specifically.
Worth noting, the Elanor in his book isn’t just a different Elanor from the one in Amazon’s show; it’s also a character expressly created by Tolkien, mentioned by name in Appendix B. She can’t possibly have been infringed by Amazon and the Tolkien Estate when they owned her to begin with. FFS she even appears at the…
Probably:
I guess it makes sense, but Blackie is a legit Scottish/English surname (I went through Basic with someone with the surname, super cool dude).
Thats why they have secret identities. In Justice League he moved my entire apartment building. Now I can’t receive mail anymore. Superman is a &^$%$^@!
I definitely do associate that way over-contrasty look with the original art, so I agree there’s some nostalgia there, but the actual art feels so much... friendlier? The blown out scans read so harshly compared to the softness of the actual original art. Shame better quality versions weren’t circulating in the west…
“I don’t know Resident Evil, yet I’m here to complain about it.”
Nice work, chief.
Looks too Medieval Fantasy to be Pokemon.
I’m gonna be That Guy for a second, so anyone who doesn’t want to deal with That Guy, feel free to move on down the page to another comment.
Count me among them. I feel like this just looks kinda... muddy? The air seems hazy, and the water seems incongruent with the rest of the art, and the jerky pixel art in the 3-D space make it all feel not of a piece.
These clips look ‘interesting’ to me but I feel like the colour palette is a little desaturated or washed out because of the effects. To me this doesn’t look like Pokemon to me, it looks like a sprite based “Pokemon Remake in Unreal Engine 5" equivalent.
There is literally an unlockable infinite rocket launcher in Resident Evil Director’s Cut from 1997. What are you even talking about my dude.
Yeah, it wouldn’t surprise me if “45 minutes of footage” would’ve been edited down to like 15-20 minutes or so if it had made the final film.
Right? I call BS unless they include at least one billion variations in the article
His tunic labels him the “Hero of the Wild”
I like him a normal amount
Yes but how many artists will still have a job? The closest analogy I can make here is photography. Prior to the cellphone it was a reasonable career path to be a photographer for a media outlet or for stock photos. Now, the only real career path is wedding photographer it high end fashion/media photographer. All of…
Pellaeon has been cast and makes an appearance... elsewhere... that you may catch on D+ today :)
