What’s BS is that 90% of those character designs in that screenshot are completely recognizable from WC3. Valve at least made like off-brand knockoff versions for DotA 2.

Look, I adore Donkey Kong country and love vaporwave, but this is just bad.
IMO no rules are broken, and it’s in fact great— Uprising is a prequel that takes place in the past, and having lower-tech cars still around communicates that through the game!
...Do you mean the brutal “role?”
I’m sorry, wait a minute, that guy’s screen name was “Incognegr0" when they met??
Bless your heart, guarantee there have been kids peeing in every pool you’ve ever been in. No special chemicals there.
“When we looked to re-envision the movie we asked, ‘What’s a different tact we could take?’”
“The chopsticks in Link’s hair...”
I honestly wouldn’t call it pigheaded. You’ve seen that picture from E3 2004, where CDProjekt Red’s whole booth/display was a single black and white poster, one computer and two chairs? If those guys back then said “we want to pay you a percentage of our profits,” I think any business-minded person could reasonably…
Good. It’s not like there’s a shortage of people willing and able to make Banjo Kazooie-style grunts.
I can see why they had to discount it, it’s not a very exciting set. :| A big part of that design’s appeal in the movie was its small size and smooth surfaces. IMO there are much better MOCs out there I would rather make. The minifig is good though.

You realize they’ve probably been working on this and other unreleased heroes for a long, long time, right? It’s not like 2 months ago they saw all the Terry Crews buzz and turned around a brand new hero in that time.
StarCraft also shows this, in older art they did use red crosses but in SC2 they cleverly have a white cross on a red design, with a red light in the middle:
“Oatking?” Really? :P It’s Otaking
It was an actual fashion trend in like the 1300s to have ‘parti-colored’ clothes like this, on both men and women. It wasn’t the norm or anything, but there are lots of medieval illustrations showing it! Some examples:
I’m happy he wrote “#1,” let’s hope it’s a series.
Eh, Firefly isn’t so progressive. It’s exactly a Western, like the John Wayne classics, where the protagonist is a veteran of the losing/lost cause side in a civil war but still knows his side was right all along because the victorious Union/Alliance is corrupt and sucky. The constant threat of native americans raping…
I honestly don’t understand how you can replace Melee’s joystick with 4 directional buttons.
Welp, looks exactly like a cross between Alien and Prometheus, which isn’t really a surprise. Could be good, like the aesthetic (with the technology looking a bit more low-tech than all of Prometheus’ holograms, costumes looking good).
Honestly I could also just see them filming a couple different versions of scenes while they had the whole beach filming location set up and everyone in their costumes. But then also that whole “master switch” thing seemed pretty tacked on and like it could have been done in reshoots.
