I take these discounts as very offensive move by apple. It is like, "We don't care! You can buy it now or not. We have too many customers, anyway.

@kidfromkor: I bought mine from macmall. It was 1220 with no tax. If I waited until BF to buy it from apple, it would have been 1280 from apple. They don't charge taxes on most states.

That ipad price is very interesting to me. Apple sells refurbished iPad for 449 dollars on their website, so.... new one will be 458 for BF.

Very very useless discounts... Most of other 3rd party retailers beat them on the ground. However, Apple offers better customer service and they have more stocks than others. So, give and take.

Apple doesn't have to discount their items to sell these devices. They are selling no matter what.
