1. you don't need to spend $2000 to have a gaming PC.

I'm not PC people but I happen to have a PC that can run PC games decently, thus I see no reason to get an XBOX since I can play most games on PC. Is that a sin?

I think most people know this already, taking it's from the former producer of FFs.

David Cage and tons of Western developers who like gritty, emotional, personal experience would like to have a word with you.

I think it's more like unless it's XBOX exclusive, buy on PS3, otherwise you can play most XBOX games on PC.

I take that you have some problem with women, no?

Japanese gaming industry has never been close to dead. The only difference is that it shift focus to handheld games. Over the years there has been many hit games come out in Japan. Some of those games are so popular that they have their anime spin-offs. And I'd wage to say that the gaming in Japan is probably much

I don't know how much you know the culture there. I grew up in that culture and now live with my Japanese friends in the US. I've seen the two sides of the gaming culture pretty thoroughly throughout my life. What I can tell you is American tech stuff is very popular over there. There are many western games that are

What? From the E3 gameplay trailer I saw, she single-handedly killed dozens of mercenaries/bandits with superhuman bullet absorbing body and pinpoint accuracy. If anyone needs to be protected, it's the enemies I think.

On the contrary, people in Japan LOVE American products. American movies, restaurants, Apple products, Windows are very popular there. The reason people don't buy XBOX there is simply the games on it don't cater to the audience there. You know not everybody loves shooters.

Just a heads up for everybody. Lollipop Chainsaw got a high 9/9/9/8 review score in Famitsu in Japan so hopefully it won't be disappointing.

JRPG has never been dying in the first place. It's just most JRPG titles are released either handheld or never localized for Western market. If you like playing Japanese games and can read Japanese, there are always JRPGs you can find.

That's problem there. Of course it's impossible to ask every single game to be innovative. But at least we can have diversity, just to say that. The rate of innovation in this generation is really slow compared to the previous generation as the business model of this generation has moved on to a more profit/market

Yeah I feel that too. Sometimes I feel they post controversial articles on purpose to incite flaming. It's one thing to make controversial point, but without analytic thinking and fact-based argument to present both sides and moderation of comments, you are just doing it for the sake of it or page view.

Oh? Where did you read about the new comment system? I'd love to see.

I feel like the comment section on Kotaku is slowly getting out of hand. When it comes to controversial posts, there are so many personal attack and name calling. I remember before comments on Kotaku is actually one of the main attraction to the site but now it seems it's going to Youtube level. I suggest Kotaku have

I don't doubt that technology nowadays will push the envelope of visual quality of video games as this is how technology always evolves. We've come a long way from Pong to 8-bit pixels to the photo realist graphic today.

Aha, the last resort of name calling, how classy~~~

To be honest, I don't think the portrayal of killing of women itself is that offensive or bothering as we've seen a lot of those in other games already, eg. in GTA you can kill prostitute.

Well as someone who started PES from the earliest Winning Eleven J-League days, I would say animation of PES in previous generations were a lot better then FIFA. But when it comes to current gen, especially since 2008, PES's outdated animation has been outmatched by FIFA. They've been recycling the same stiff
