Well, I don't really play shooters that much and I despise all the military themed games. But for me the thing is DNF is not fun, nor satirical. The gameplay is sluggish and inconsistent at best, which I don't get where the fun comes from. And that's actually why it failed, a game supposed to be fun turns out not fun.

Actually the alien part doesn't upset me or anything, but I just think it's really dull and tasteless. As far as the over 10 something reviews I've read, they are mostly pretty justified about the poor quality of the game.

I actually don't get the logic of many people defending the game. It seems the only reason they can come up with it is the baseless arbitrary "I enjoyed it anyway hence you are wrong." But you know there are other people out there don't enjoy the game.

Yeah, I did feel kind of "cheated" by the system that they forced you to accuse the wrong person. But then again, I played the game more in a way of watching interactive drama. And what's even funnier is all those suspects act like really suspicious which doesn't help the feeling that the game is trying hard to

Yeah, for my taste, most Western games focus too much on being dark, gritty, violent and instant gratification instead of detailed story and deep characters. Derived from Asian culture, usually Japanese games are more subtle and emotional( unless it's games like DMC or Bayonetta which are supposed to be over the top)

Well as far as I can see and my experience there, mainly Japan and China, people play fair share of FPSs and Western games, but not to the point to say they "hate" them. In most cases, people just don't care about them and some Western games are actually gaining fame there, such as Fallout 3( I actually finished the

You are obviously biased from your point. If you despise Japanese games or Japanese in general, of course you will be blinded by your short-sightedness. Or simply you are not old enough to have the chance to play other games other than shooters and sports games.

Well put man. Hearted.

Still playing the game on arson desk. Bought the Rockstar pass and can't wait for the new content to come out :)

Actually looking forward to this, but fearing it would turn out as Uncharted clone.

First they tried to make Yakuza a shooter, which is okay in my opinion as I love the series. Now they are making a full blown western style shooter, which is making me think how much Japanese gamers will be interested. Shooters with masculine gruffy guy simply wouldn't sell.

For people defending the game in the name of "old school", the problem isn't the reviews. I've read at least over 10 reviews of DNF and most of their critics are well justified and reasoned. Nostalgia shouldn't be an excuse for poor game design, especially for a game that gets so much hype and charges full price to

Is this really necessary?? They expect people to actually go to a their store to buy certain games instead of buying them from regular stores or online?

That's really a weak argument there you have. Do we have to go out and kill someone to prove the society is not safe enough? Do we have to go out and rob people to show them how inadequate police force is?

I wonder how much usage it will really get for the 3G version versus the WiFi version. If the carriers can unify the data plan for all the device( cellphone, tablet, other mobile devices), then I'd consider it.

Of course.

If you have been to East Asia, you'd see they are really normal. It's usually the heavy make up makes them look unnatural. Just you know, in Asia normally if the person has really done surgery, you wouldn't be able to see it.

No. The concept of that only exists in western gamers.

All I hope is they can bring back more RPG elements rather than Michael Bay-ish Hollywood product. Or simply make it a shooter with dialogue cut scenes. Oh wait, that's ME2 already...

As someone who grew up there, I don't see any problem with that. They look totally normal. Sorry for being ugly and make up, is that what you mean?
