Yeah, if you pay attention to the video game marketing words in recent years, it's all about "gritty", "emotional", "personal", "moral-gray", "dark", "realistic", etc.

Do we have to play everything in first person view?
The only sports I care about is football(soccer in US), so all those games are a pass.
Yeah, me for one, hate all the modern military shooters or games trying to be politically controversial(MoH, the new Homefront games for example). I just wish the game could have done the jokes more intelligently. But then again, personally, I'm someone who rarely swear in real life, so the game is a bit too "vulgar"…
Well, for some people it's "lol", but for others, it's just a big turn-off. If they really want to be funny or make fun of shooters, they can totally do it in a more intelligent way instead of poor tasted teen jokes.
Yeah, I agree. I think it really depends on the personality and background. For me, some random sarcastic dirty jokes out of nowhere may seem funny to me, but the constant "fuck", "dick" thing is just too much, which isn't funny anymore and falls into the category of vulgar and tasteless.
Might as well make the title CoD 2011, CoD 2012, ........ etc.
All these jokes or swearing feel really juvenile and fake. I think the game is trying too hard to be edgy, which only makes it shallow. And this comment is not about the gameplay, just the general feel and vibe of the game.
My first reaction:
The Witcher 2. You can't miss that.
I can also be for a 30 year old man with a 11 year old boy's mentality.
For me, the whole Korea invading plot just feels gimmicky and out of place.
Yes I played them and they are indeed good games, but they are far out numbered by the popularity of shooters. How often do you see publicity of games other than shooters compared to shooters or action games?
I see a lot of self-righteous and hypocritical people here, either in the camp of supporting him or not.
It's not easy once you try it.
It seems many commenters judgement too fast.
I think you are either being sarcastic or blind. This game is a breeze to the shooter filled gaming market today. Seeing all the western companies making shooters with overly violence and gore, I don't see them advancing anymore.
After playing the demo, feel it's just another unnecessarily mindless violent gimmicky shooter. Plus, not every game needs a co-op mode. Gamers today are spoiled and the trend of mindless shooter will never stop.
If not for the marketing, hype and controversy, I doubt the game would have done half well as it did. Just another example of typical EA marketing success and how trendy shooter genre is nowadays.
Well said, sir. I applaud for you.
