Sounds like Flanagan was so beholden to King and King’s desperate desire to reclaim the Shining from Kubrick that he basically slapped the ending to the original book onto the end of the sequel.
How’s that dude stabbing people without thumbs?
The horse punching scene was based on Sid Caesar punching a horse that bit his wife, if I recall correctly.
Wasn’t Dylan McDermott’s character a reference to THE HITCHER?
SNL writers seeing that:
“Yeah, that’s great. We’re going to write you into a game show parody, a half-assed political skit and a skit where you’re a high school principal, because that’s all we know how to do anymore.”
When Brooke arrived at the prison the warden said she was just there for the night.

In the sequel, Joker’s going to get a gig writing for Quillette.
Wait, Mannequin WASN’T filmed at Woolworth’s?
What else has Ween lied to me about?
I don’t understand how bringing on this one guy (as a performer, not a writer) was supposed to appeal to conservatives - were they going to give him 5 minutes an episode with a live mic to complain about immigrants, or was he just going to randomly inject right-wing talking points into whatever interminable game show…
I guess all we’re missing now are two elements:
