Plus, he’s been open about his own mental health, which is decidedly not toxic masculinity. Davidson may not be my type, but he’s definitely got some appealing qualities—his self-effacing nature among them. He’s hardly the image and likeness of toxic masculinity.

Pete Davidson has always seemed pretty humble and self effacing, that ive seen. He has no problem making fun of himself. He’s done bits where he’s complaining that the older generation are the ones stuck on toxic masculinity.

I’m especially confused because I’ve read the article 4 times now, and it seems to be saying that Pete Davidson is some kind of avatar for toxic masculinity and...I just don’t get that. When I think of the poster boy for toxic masculinity, I think of someone like Joe Rogan, not Pete Davidson.

I saw the Evergreen ship and truly thought to myself, “Why is that here? That wasn’t this year!” Wow, it was March 2021. How is that possible?

It’s anxiety inducing because of the sheer level of bozosity displayed by so many humans.

Finding a Friend for the End of the World.

Don’t forget the direct-to-VHS flick Slideshow. Totally fucking ruined now.

When going to the gym and having a shapely ass is your only life skill you take photos of it. Brands give you money to drape said ass in their products. This is because Robocop was a warning we didn’t listen to.

People are so dumb. My gym has been closed since February, so I bought a bunch of resistance bands and a yoga mat. I live in a tiny one bedroom that offers no space to anchor my bands and get a full range of exercise motion, so I go outdoors to the park to exercise. And you know what? I am cancelling my gym membership

So, I’m sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but a study just came out saying that bandannas and those neck sleeves I see runners wearing are the absolute WORST form of mask to wear right now as far as lowering transmission risk.

I mean, good lord.  Have you paid attention to absolutely anything at all outside of the US since this whole thing started?  The UK has been ranking up there with the US and Brazil with incompetence in dealing with the pandemic since the beginning.

Overall mask wearing in the UK is pretty low. But (in Scotland certainly, and I believe also in the rest of it) people are following the rules about wearing them in shops/buildings. I.e. they’ll put them on to go into shops, but take them off on leaving.

At first I wondered if this might be a problem for me but, actually, the voluntary act of putting on and taking off the mask MYSELF (because I want to) ended up feeling very empowering. In fact I feel overall safer now than without one.

That last sentence is everything!

I don’t know why its surprising that humans are multi-faceted. For instance, you can be a victim of rape and also a selfish fuck. They aren’t mutually-exclusive.

You’re rights end where mine begin. I.E. You can’t put my life at risk because of your trauma. Order your groceries for delivery or pick up and move on please.

their concern about being confronted for not wearing a mask in public has led them to avoid going going out:

The country, like much of the rest of the world, is also doing much better job of containing the virus than the U.S.

I expect to have to wipe blood off my screen as I scroll through the comics.
