No I don’t believe Nintendo. Not because of the debacle that was the NES Classic, but the fact that they’ve done this shit time and again with consoles and handhelds. They did it with the Wii, they’ve done it with multiple DS incarnations, they did it with the Gameboy Advance...

No wonder they nuked the fan remake since it the fan remake looks better.

I’m assuming this is a remake of Metroid 2: The Return of Samus for the Gameboy? this would explain why Nintendo C&Ded the AM2R fan game.

Burninating all the speedruns!

Motherfuckers, they are gonna stop production and then turn around and announce Snes classic aren’t they? Maintain the hype of the Nes and move that momentum to the next product. It’s a cold calculated business move.

Though, how does one find an NES classic at a reasonable price?

I dunno. Instead of making bad decisions and occasionally winking, they could have made a better game?

I love it.

New games are basically all they announced at the reveal, also you seem to forget E3 is right around the corner...

They do look amazing, but Zelda and Persona 5 don’t exactly break the mold from their predecessors (not that it’s a bad thing). The only game you mentioned that I would consider a bold direction is HZD. I was really thinking about overall design, not just characters. How often do you see a big budget game with a truly

This, times a million. The trend towards semi-forced microtransactions in games you paid for is extremely obnoxious, even worse than horse armor DLC. That’s not new content, guys, it’s a fucking second paywall. When are the reviewers going to start penalizing games for this stunt?

I just can’t justify $60 for a game that beats you in the face with microtransactions and doesn’t have dedicated servers... what a shame.

So, this just occurred to me while reading your article. Do you think it would help, if the game could be played either way? Is it enough to simply reverse the trope?

I tend to avoid editorializing too much but this comes up a lot with these articles. My belief is that fan games provide a valuable service to gaming culture by keeping games present in our minds and providing new ways to experience the games we already value so much.

Let’s be honest, they likely skipped so much content in the game that it’s kinda pointless.

Why does this movie need connection to real world? Why cant it just that the hero is lone survivor of some village what was destroyed by X monster and he is on a hunt for that. It doesnt need any connection to real world

That should probably be included as a disclaimer on the dozen-or-so articles that have gone up on here discouraging the practice in general, if it isn’t already. This whole NES Classic launch has been a disaster, with scalpers being the only ones benefiting from it all. I don’t understand why Nintendo handled it this

YEAH, WHAT A POINTLESS WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY PREORDERS ARE, HUH? Sure are glad they didn’t make them available for this!

Try letting them know you are white, or that you have a creed or a gender or an opinion about something. The problem isn’t honest bigotry, it’s a culture of anonymity desperate to offend.
